PSG Overcomes Olympique de Marseille on Penalties to Secure Trophee des Champions Super Cup in Kuwait.
PSG has now secured the prestigious cup on 14 separate occasions.
Paris Saint-Germain required a dramatic equaliser followed by a successful spot-kick decider to overcome Marseille in the Gulf and capture a fourth straight Trophee des Champions victory.
The European champions seemed to be coasting towards a straightforward win in the showdown between the Ligue 1 champions and the French Cup winners after the French winger opened the scoring in the opening stages.
However, the southern French side fired two times late to seize a surprise advantage. Initially, Mason Greenwood scored from the penalty spot, before Willian Pacho inadvertently directed the ball into his own net for an own goal.
In a remarkable twist of events, Goncalo Ramos snatched a crucial equaliser in the final seconds to force the contest into a deciding shootout. The Parisian shot-stopper Lucas Chevalier then stood as the hero, saving crucial kicks from O'Riley and Traore.
From the spot, Ramos, the midfielder, Nuno Mendes, and Desire Doue all converted with composure for PSG to complete a 4-1 penalty victory.
Now 14-time champions Paris Saint-Germain, who met last season's Ligue 1 runners-up Marseille after achieving a domestic double, have now won this competition for the twelfth time in the past thirteen years.
